Wolves Host Kings University Eagles

The GPRC Wolves hosted the Kings University Eagles from Edmonton on Friday night. The Wolves were showing their support for Breast Cancer Awareness by wearing pink jersies. A large number of fans came out and watched a close game between the 2 teams.

In the first match the Wolves were down early 9-17 and battled back to 18-22 but that wasn't close enough as the Eagles scored a quick 3 points to end the match. The second match was close, tied at 14 until the KINGS put up 7 straight points to take a 21-14 lead and eventually win the match 25-17. The Wolves battled hard during the 3rd match, #6 Megan Warner had a few good kills to help the Wovles end the match 25-23. #5 Jayden Bontkes was to much for the Wolves during the 4th set when she had 6 kills to help the Eagles finished the match 25-20 and win the game 3-1.

Jayden Bontkes would go to win the Mr. Mikes Player of the Game with 15 kills and 2 blocks. Your GPRC Wolves #1 Megan Kock was named the Mr. Mikes Player of the Game with 16 kills and 1 service ace.

Both teams are back in action tomorrow afternoon in Wolves gym at 1pm.
