Futsal Frenzy: The Pulse-Pounding Action of the 2024 Season

EDMONTON, AB - Get ready for an exhilarating 2024 Futsal season, with the schedule locked in and the championship destination set. Student-athletes won't have a moment to spare after their Christmas break, as the action kicks off with the first South Regional on January 12-13. The women's matches will unfold at Ambrose in Calgary, while the men will compete at Prairie College in Three Hills. Shortly after, the Northern teams will have their turn at Portage College on January 19-21. This sets the stage for two more dynamic regionals in February, one for the South and one for the North.

The grand finale will unfold from March 8-10 in Lac La Biche, where the Portage Voyageurs will graciously host both the men's and women's championships.

SOUTH REGIONALS:

The initial South Regional is set to span two locations. Women's teams will vie for victory at the Ambrose Lions gym in Calgary, while men's squads will showcase their skills at Prairie College in Three Hills, hosted by the Pilots. Mark your calendars for January 12-13, when the first regional action of 2024 kicks off.

The second South Regional will once again see both men's and women's teams converging at Prairie College, igniting the competition on February 9-10.

NORTH REGIONALS:

Both North Regionals are set to unfold at Portage College, strategically aligned with their role as hosts for the ACAC championship. This dual responsibility serves as excellent preparation, ensuring the utmost quality for the championship event. Hosting both regionals and the championship itself is no small feat, especially when accommodating both men's and women's teams at the same location. The first North Regional is locked in for January 19-21, with the second following closely on February 2-4.

ACAC CHAMPIONSHIP:

As the Futsal season unfolds, the path to glory will become clearer. The finest teams will solidify their positions through the fiercely contested regionals. The intensity of Futsal fervor heightens as the spotlight shifts to Portage Voyageurs, the chosen stage for the grand culmination. During these pivotal days, from March 8 to 10, the supreme talents of both men's and women's categories will unite on the court, displaying their unparalleled prowess and unwavering determination for triumph. With the stage impeccably set and excitement soaring, all eyes are fixated on Portage Voyageurs as they gear up to elevate the Futsal championship to unprecedented heights.

The Keyano Huskies' men's and women's teams demonstrated their prowess during the 2023 season by clinching the championship banners on their home turf. Now, the question arises: Can this determined pack maintain their winning momentum and continue to make their presence felt?
