OCTOBER 28 – The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Ross Wilder of Medicine Hat College has been selected as the 2021-22 ACAC Men's Soccer South Rookie of the Year.

Ross had a strong rookie season for the Medicine Hat College (MHC) Rattlers in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) play.  He helped lead MHC to a 4th place finish in the ACAC South Division.  The finish helped the Rattlers make the playoffs and host an opening round game where Ross had a clean sheet in a 3-0 victory over the Ambrose Lions.  Throughout the season, Ross made numerous highlight reel saves and he finished 3rd in the ACAC with 43 saves in 6 games.  Ross had .782 save percentage, a goals against average of 2.00 and 1 clean sheet during the regular season.

"Ross is an outstanding young goaltender with great athletic ability, giving the Rattlers soccer team an incredibly strong last line of defense.  Ross is a strong communicator, directs team defensive play and is capable of making extraordinary saves.  We are very happy that Ross has chosen Medicine Hat College and Rattlers soccer as his school of choice" said Terry Ballard, MHC Manager of Sport and Wellness.

Ross, from Medicine Hat, is a graduate of the local Rattlers Athletic Soccer Club (RASC) program for local athletes participating in local soccer club action as a youth.  The first year student is currently in the University Transfer Commerce program at MHC.
