NWP and Wolves Athletics, along with Grande Prairie, have a strong history of hosting major sporting events and are set to host the 2024 Alberta Winter Games. The facilities, infrastructure, community support, and volunteers ensure a successful bid. The infrastructure meets technical requirements, reflecting NWP's commitment to providing the best environment for student-athletes. Every effort will be made to help student-athletes achieve new personal and team bests.

Hansen Lincoln Field, located at 10726 - 106 Ave in Grande Prairie, AB, is the city's first premier outdoor synthetic turf field. It features grandstands with seating for 812, eight dressing rooms, a meeting room, media room, referee's room, washrooms, field lights, and a score clock. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to accommodate both athletes and spectators, making it a top venue for sports and community events in Grande Prairie.

Championship Info

The Northwestern Polytechnic Wolves are proud to host the 2024 ACAC Men & Women’s Soccer Championships, from October 25 to 27, 2024. All roads lead north as the best teams from across the conference will compete for the coveted conference championship and a spot at the 2024 CCAA National Championships. All games will be played at the state-of-the-art Grande Prairie Hansen Lincoln Field.

Tournament Info

The tournament is a four-day event starting on Oct. 25 with team practices held at Edmonton Soccer Dome.

Game action gets underway with two quarter-finals on Oct. 26, followed by semi-final action on Oct. 27 for each men & women's championship. The ACAC bronze and gold medal matches take place on Oct. 28.

Practice Availability 

Practice times are available at the Scottish Fields for Wednesday, October 25 in 45 minute time slots throughout the day.  Please contact Todd Van Driel, todd.vandriel@kingsu.ca in advance to reserve a time.  Practice times will be offered on a first come, first serve basis, with the last time slot beginning at 4:30 PM.
