ACAC Grand Prix #1 Recap
Hosted by Concordia Thunder at Gold Bar Park, Edmonton
The ACAC Grand Prix #1 kicked off in spectacular fashion this afternoon at Gold Bar Park in Edmonton, hosted by the Concordia Thunder. Under clear skies and a sweltering 30°C, athletes faced a dual challenge: the demanding course and the intense heat. A huge shoutout goes to every competitor who gave their all today!
The event showcased two thrilling races, starting with the women's 6km at noon. The top three women's finishers were:
- Madison Scrimger – 25:36 (MHC Rattlers)
- Ashlee Walker – 26:00 (CUE Thunder)
- Aelyn Switzer – 26:03 (NAIT Ooks)
Following closely after, the men's 8km race took place at 1 p.m. Here's a look at the top three men's runners:
- Yahye Jama – 26:43 (SAIT Trojans)
- Nathan Woyessa – 27:29 (SAIT Trojans)
- Josh Kujat – 30:21 (TKU Eagles)
