The first home match of fall 2022 for the Lakeland Rustlers barely took an hour Friday night.
The defending ACAC silver medalists dominated play from the first whistle, winning 25-12, 25-11, 25-16. Head Coach Austin Dyer went to his reserves as the match continued, with Lana Matthews coming off the bench to deliver 11 kills. Jenay Varga added 12, while Avery Bates had a match high 14, along with three blocks, to earn Player of the Match. Charlotte Vandenelzen lead the Ooks with six kills. Jana Laing posted 37 assists for the Rustlers.
The two teams face again in Edmonton on Saturday.
