Ooks Fall to Eagles

The NAIT Ooks took on the King's University Eagles on Saturday afternoon at home. This was the second game in a back-to-back match-up. The NAIT Ooks lost 3-0 to the Eagles on Friday night, so they came into the game on Saturday looking for redemption. Unfortunately, the Eagles came to play, and the Ooks lost 3-0.

The Eagles took off early in the first step going up by six. The NAIT Ooks didn't give up, though, as they came back to bring the set within one. Hannah Zuracowski had a service error late in the set and helped give the Eagles the push of momentum they needed to finish off the set. Eagles take it 25-19.

NAIT tried to bring the heat in the second set, but the Eagles were quick to strike. The Eagles had a ten-point lead over the Ooks, but NAIT wasn't going anywhere. Unfortunately, they weren't able to close the gap as they lost the second set 25-11.

The NAIT Ooks came out strong in the third set. Both teams were within one for the first half of the match. Annalise Hansen had a service ace that helped the Ooks pull ahead for the first time, but the Eagles didn't let their foot off the games. The Eagles won the third set 25-19.

Both teams are back at it next weekend.
