The Ooks Fall to the Rustlers in Three

The NAIT Ooks women's volleyball team took on the Lakeland Rustlers at home on Friday evening. The Rustlers won 3-0.

Both teams started strong. It was close for the first 5 points, but the Rustlers began to pull ahead. The NAIT Ooks picked up steam as they came back to tie it 17-17. It was a solid first set, but ultimately the Rustlers won 25-23.

1-0 Lakeland.

The Lakeland Rustlers came out strong again in the second set, but NAIT held their own. Rustler player, Jana Laing, added seven assists in the second set to help lead her team to a 25-13 victory. Laing is top in the league for assists per set, and she did not disappoint tonight.

2-0 Lakeland.

The third set was another battle between the two teams. Lakeland started strong, but NAIT came back to keep the game close. The Rustlers pulled ahead late in the 3rd set and took it home in three with a 25-22 win.

The players of the game were #3 Anika Dyck from NAIT and #17 Sarah Hogue from Lakeland.
