Close Loss for Lion's Women's Volleyball

Calgary, AB – The Ambrose Lions Women's Volleyball team hosted the SAIT Trojans on Friday night, and the Trojans came out on top winning the match in 4 sets. The Lions kept it close, winning the second set, but that was not enough as they drop the first of two matches over two days against the Trojans.

SAIT had a great game defensively, with their team working together to earn a total of 50 digs. Their ability to keep the play alive was key to their victory tonight. The Trojans had some excellent play out of Taryn Corkery (#4) who finished the match with 12 kills and 11 digs. On the Lions' side, Madeline Williscroft had a wonderful game, racking up 17 kills, 2 digs, and 1 block. The player of the game for the Trojans was awarded to #5 Leah Serlin and the player of the game for the Lions was Libero, #18 Nova VanSoest.

These two teams will rest up and prepare to play each other again this Saturday at 5 PM when the SAIT Trojans host the Ambrose Lions.
