Rustlers Fall Short on Senior night
The Lakeland College Women's Volleyball team hosted The Kings University Eagles on the Rustlers senior night. With all eyes on #8 Avery Maginel the lone senior for the Rustlers.
The first set really set the tempo for the game as each team went point for point early in the game when it was Kings who would break open the game in the latter part of the game taking the set 25-22.
The Rustlers would come out looking for redemption against the Eagle's in the second set but the Eagles would come out to a huge lead and remain in control for the rest of the set. However, Lakeland would bring it back but it wouldn't be able to finish the comeback and drop the set 25-20.
The Rustlers would need to pull off a reverse sweep. With the Rustlers jumping out to an early lead they would be able to hold off the Eagles to force a 4th set with a set score of 25-18.
The Rustlers would look to continue with there momentum but the Eagles would shut it down quickly and take the game-deciding set with a 25-16 win.
