Eagles take match in straight sets vs. the Thunder
The King's University Eagles took on the Concordia Thunder at home earlier tonight. The Eagles were looking to start their weekend strong versus a Thunder team that has lost their past two matches.
In the first set, both teams looking to grab an early advantage over one another. Both teams battled early on, but the Eagles were able to capitalize on some crucial errors by the Thunder to take the set 25-21.
In the second set, the Eagles looked to be locked in as they took an early 5 point lead over the Thunder. But the Thunder stormed their way back as they cut the lead back down to only 1. But it was all for not as the Eagles took the set 25-23.
In the third set, neither team looked to give the other any room, as both teams went back and forth. But the Eagles were able to dig deep as they took a couple of crucial points from the Thunder to take the set, 25-18 and the match in straight sets.
The Eagles will be looking to continue their winnings streak as they take on the Thunder once more, tomorrow, November 10th, at Concordia University at 4pm.
