Vikings dominate the Thunder to get the Victory

Camrose AB,- The Augustana Vikings took on the Concordia Thunder in the third week of January, and they managed to take the win by sweeping the Thunder in straight sets, 25-20,31-29,25-20.

 The first set was a thriller with the Vikings taking a commanding 6-0 lead to start the set and they maintained this lead to finish with 25 points to the Thunder's 20 setting the score at 1-0.

The second set displayed some drama as it was much closer than the first with it going into a tie breaker towards the end. The Vikings fought hard to finish with 31 points while the Thunder kept it close but just fell short with 29 points. It seemed that the Vikings were on the verge of winning this game as everything seemed to be going their way

 

The third and final set mirrored the first with the final scoreline setting once again at 25-20 in favour of the Augustana Vikings, both teams fought very hard in an exhilarating finish with several ups and downs for both teams.

 

From the Concordia Thunder the player of the game was Emma Derbishire who had 3 spikes and 8 digs. While from the Augustana Vikings the player of the game was Sarah Dedrick who had 3 spikes,1 kill and 4 digs.
