Camrose AB- It was a frosty night as fans came to support the Augustana's Women's Volleyball team for their home opening night against the Concordia Thunder. Even the the young girls from the Brownie Girl Guides came to support the Women's team while volunteering their time to do triple ball for the entirety of the game.

The Vikings started the game strong by putting the first point up on the scoreboard which carried through the the set, resulting in the Vikings winning the first set over the Thunder 25-21. Augustana carried the momentum over into the second set leading in points for the whole set. Although the score was close Augustana came out with the a win 25-23. The women of the Augustana team started the third with spirits high from the previous two victories, and together continually stuffed the ball on Concordia winning the set 25-9, winning them the game in just three sets. Metrunec from the Augustana Vikings and Whiteman Kyte from the Concordia Thunder received the Player of the Game Award.
