The Lakeland Rustlers defeated the Augustana Vikings in 3 sets (25-16, 25-18, 25-18) Friday night in Lloydminster.

The Rustlers got out to a 5-1 lead to start the first set with strong serving.  The Rustlers would extend their lead to 15-7 and take control of the set, going on to win 25-16.  The Vikings would open up the second set with a 3-1 lead, before the teams would go back and forth.  The Rustlers would take a 9-8 lead, which they extended to 16-12 before they would win the set 25-18.  The third set started off with the teams once again going back and forth before the Rustlers would open up a 16-8 lead.  The Rustlers extended their lead to 16-8 and the Vikings could not come back, as the Rustlers hung on to win 25-18.

Player of the Game for the Rustlers was #4, Alyssa Grondin.  Player of the Game for the Vikings was #3, Kiana Mah.
