Rattlers Roll in the Pit

In Medicine Hat, the Olds College Broncos were in town to take on the Rattlers. In the opening set, errors were the Bronco's biggest foe. With 9 errors and 5 service errors, the first set was out of reach quickly. The rattlers kept the ball in play especially on the serve and let the Broncos make the mistakes. This continued through the first set as solid passing and only 2 errors allowed the Rattlers to walk away with a 25-13 first set win.
In the second set the errors were much more even. The Broncos tightened up their serving and cut way down on unforced errors. This resulted in a more evenly matched set. The score stayed level until both teams approached 20. The Rattlers were able to go on a service run of 3 that had them take the lead. They held this without allowing the Broncos back into the set and won 25-21 going up 2 sets to start the match.
The third set saw an even match the whole way through. Neither team could gain any momentum as both teams offence seemed to be clicking as there were many side outs. Short rallies were a theme as both teams were taking advantage of opportunities in the end the Rattlers served for the game twice capitalizing on the second and taking the set 27-25 and the match 3-0
