The Ambrose Lions were at the Snake Pit to play the Medicine Hat Rattlers. In the first set the rattlers came out strong. Strong setting by Janessa Oelke had the rattlers up early and controlling the game. Once the rattlers were up by six, play seemed to even out more with both teams trading serves on and off. The Lions tried to shift the momentum with some substitutions mid set. This did not pay off as Medicine hat cruised to a first set win 25-17

Trying to avenge a first set loss, the Lions came out hard in the beginning of the second set. They jumped out to an early lead with a strong connection from setter Jessica Zacharias to left side hitter Madeline Williscroft who made several kills early. A timeout sparked the Rattlers who went on a serving run to even the game at 16. Some exceptional serving at 20 all by Janessa Oelke pushed the rattlers into the lead late in the set. With a side out and a final kill from Rattler Amber Stigter the rattlers completed the comeback to snatch the second set 25-21.

The third set seemed to be a repeat of the first two. Although the Lions fought hard, the rattlers were too much on this day as they overcame some early set mistakes to cruise to win handily 25-16. Some exceptional rallies made it a quite entertaining affair.
