Huskies had a chance to get on the scoreboard in extra time as a direct kick from 26 yards out from Natalie Orellana (1st year, Business Administration, Pinole California) was blocked by Thunder goalie Monica Dickson (2nd year, Bachelor of Arts, Edmonton Alberta).
The dying seconds of the first half found Tara Pliska (4th year, Bachelor of Education, Sturgeon County, Alberta) ricocheting the ball off the right goalpost to go up 3-0 heading into the locker room.
Huskies' Skylar Robertson (1st year, Nursing, Lac La Biche, Alberta) had a chance at 77 minutes with a blast from 18 yards out being tipped over the crossbar.
