The Lethbridge Kodiaks defeated the Lakeland Rustlers 6-0 Saturday afternoon in Lloydminster.
The Kodiaks were the first team to find the back of the net and never looked back, opening the scoring in the 28th minute on a goal by Vicki Noronha. Both teams had chances to score in the remainder of the first half, but neither were able to, giving the Kodiaks the 1-0 lead at the half. In the second half, the Kodiaks started scoring early and often, extending their lead to 2-0 in the 49th minute, on a goal by Bryce Sherring and followed that up with another goal in the 50th minute by Kayla Kehoe. The Kodiaks added two more goals by Sherring in the 58th and 78th minutes, and another by Kehoe in the 80th minute to give them the 6-0 win.
Player of the Game for the Rustlers was #15, Krystal Penner. Player of the Game for the Kodiaks was #18, Bryce Sherring.
