Olds Broncos defeat Lakeland Rustlers

Sunday's matchup between the Lakeland College Rustlers and Olds College Broncos women's soccer teams featured two teams looking for their first win of the season. Play was back and forth in the first half with both teams having chances to score. Ultimately, neither team could capitalize on their chances and the game was tied at zero at half. In the second half, Olds took a 1-0 in the 46th minute on a Lakeland misplay resulting in an own goal. Rachel Brodie found the back of the net in the 64th minute giving the Broncos a 2-0 lead and victory. Rustlers goal keeper Danielle Blacklock faced 10 shots and had 6 saves. For the Broncos, goal keeper Auslin Rae McDaniel-Perrin faced 5 shots and made 4 saves. Player of the game for the Rustlers was #13 Rachel Fogh. Player of the game for the Broncos was #16 Cassidy Brown.
