Medicince Hat Defeats Lethbride College 4-1

Medicine Hat Started fast and applied pressure early in the game. This payed off in the form of a 2^nd minute goal from Megan Clarke. The Rattlers continued to apply pressure early and took a number of long range shots. Lethbridge defense weathered the storm helped by exceptional play from Lethbridge native Madison Folk. Lethbridge seemed to bend and not break on defense until the 12^th minute where Meagan Clarke struck again. This time from a free kick from 25 yards, she fired a shot into the top left corner. Play moved more into the middle of the field and the Kodiaks tried to use a fast break to break through the Rattlers D. Goal Keeper Kassidy Suberlak quarterbacked the defense and they shut down the attack through tempo. The Kodiaks received a free kick just outside 20 yards with a great chance on goal. Vicki Noronha converted with a favorable deflection off a Rattler Defender. This seemed to spark the rattlers who applied pressure for quite some time. This pressure translated into a series of corner kicks where Medicine Hat capitalized again. Meagan Clarke Completed the hattrick with a goal off the goaltender's hands from the corner. In the Second half, The Rattlers started Fast again with a great through ball from Clarke on to the foot of Jordyn Bell who slid the ball into the back of the net. Play seemed to move more to the center of the field rather than the Kodiak end and both teams seemed to push the pace a little more. Both teams trying to use a diagonal through ball to break down the defense. Medicine Hat utilized their speed to turn these into scoring chances. With the increase in pace, more and harder fouls were being committed. This resulted in a Yellow Card being issued to the Kodiaks Payden Olsen. Followed not long behind by Rattlers Atlanta Evis and Cassidy Larochelle with a Yellow Card each as well. Jordyn Bell broke down the defense twice with partial breakaways and failed to convert either with superb saves by Brittany Klein. The Rattlers Finished with 20 shots on goal to the Kodiaks 3 with 8 more corners won as well. Although the Kodiaks fought hard the Rattlers seemed too much for them today
