Bronze Medal Match NAIT OOKS vs Lethbridge Kodiaks

Finishing third place in round robin play NAIT OOKS take on the fourth place Lethbridge Kodiaks in the ACAC Bronze Medal Match. Starting off the game we see immediate aggression from Kodiaks as they work to try and claim that bronze medal. Starting the game off Kodiaks #15 Jayna Timinski receives a pass from #22 Olivia DePasquale to land Lethbridge on the board. Building off that momentum #5 Ashley Salazski get away and can't be stopped making that 2-0 for the Kodiaks. Responding to the lead Lethbridge has built is OOKS #14 Rachel Kraft who is able to shorten the lead. With a fight in the OOKS zone #22 Olivia DePasquale is able to get her first of the game taking it back to a 2-point lead. Working to shorten that lead is #14 Rachel Kraft who is able to land her second of the game. With only a few minutes left in the first half Kodiaks #5 Ashley Salazski sets up #2 Meaghan Welby to take it 4-2 heading into the second.

Knowing they trail by 2 OOKS need to bring on the offensive pressure to try and get to that medal. With the help from OOKS #11 Tainara Oliveria its now a 1-point lead. Feeling NAIT catching up Kodiaks #22 Olivia DePasquale is able to land another one making it 5-3. As OOKS try their hardest to regain momentum we approach the last minutes of play. And with only 33 seconds left Olivia DePasquale is able to get her fourth of the game and secures Lethbridge's Bronze medal.
