Central Division Futsal Competition

The SAIT Trojans women's futsal team played against the Olds Broncos at the Rick Down Athletic Centre on Prairie College campus. This was the second meeting between the two teams during the 2022 regular season. Olds was eager to avenge their loss from the January 29th contest.

In the first half, the Trojans showed why they are one of the best teams in the ACAC. Their fast-paced play, crisp passes, and strong team play helped them take the lead after 25 minutes, 3-1. It was Kaur Singh (1) and McPherson (2) who scored for SAIT and Rodney for the Broncos.

The game plan for SAIT"s second half seemed to be centred around keeping and controlling the lead. Their tight defensive play was too much for the Broncos to generate any more offense. The Trojans had more offensive input from Kaur Singh who got her second goal of the match, and from Frampton.

For their efforts, Olds' Rodney and SAIT's Mergen, were awarded the player of the game for their teams.
