Central Division Futsal Competition

The Prairie Pilots played against the SAIT Trojans in women's futsal on February 19, 2022 at the Rick Down Athletic Centre on Prairie College campus. The last time these two teams met, it was a very one-sided affair, as the dominant Trojans defeated the Pilots 18-0. Prairie was looking for a much closer result than the last time these teams played.

In the first half, SAIT again showed why they are the top team from the Futsal Central Division, and possibly in the entire women's ACAC futsal. While the Pilots had home court advantage and the crowd cheering them on, they couldn't keep up with SAIT's strong team play and aggressive offense. After 25 minutes of play, it was SAIT leading by a score of 5-0.

SAIT's strong play continued in the second half. They would add another seven goals to their total in the second half, resulting in a 12-0 final score. The Trojans had multi-goal games from Claughton (2), Frampton (3), and Metz (4). The players of the game went to Prairie's Bylsma and SAIT's Kaur Singh.

The Trojans look to continue their winning ways as they move on to compete at the Futsal Championships in March.
