Megan Leblanc of the NAIT Ooks Honoured as ACAC Women's Hockey Top League Scorer
Edmonton, AB (March 13, 2020) – The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce that Megan Leblanc of the NAIT Ooks was named the women's hockey top scorer for the 2019-20 regular season.
In her 3rd year at NAIT, Megan led the ACAC during the regular season with 25 points. She had 14 goals and 11 assists in 21 games played. The Personal Fitness Trainer student from Estevan, SK., was also named ACAC Second Team All-Conference after leading the league in scoring, and award voted on by the league's coaches.
"I think Meg is one of the most entertaining players to watch in the ACAC. Her ability to accelerate and then stick handle through multiple players, eventually finding a way to put the puck in the back of the net, is impressive," said NAIT head coach Stef Thomson. "I'm super proud of how much she has developed and improved since last season."
