Ooks defeat Broncos, sweep weekend

EDMONTON, Alta. - Livia Lucova recorded three points on Friday night to lead the NAIT Ooks women's hockey team to a 4-1 victory over the Olds College Broncos.

Despite outshooting the Broncos 12-5 in the first period, the Ooks weren't able to find the back of the net. It wasn't until the second period when Livia Lucova connected on a pass from Megan Leblanc at the 3:33 mark of the middle frame, that a goal would be marked on the score sheet. Shortly after, it was Lucova returning the favour by setting up Leblanc to put the NAIT up 2-0 at intermission. 

In the third Rosie Roszell and Brittney Savard would each at a goal for the Ooks before Payton Bowen scored the lone Broncos goal. NAIT took the game 4-1. Shots were 32-21 in favour of the Ooks.
