Ooks Women's Hockey Sweep Broncos

EDMONTON, ALTA. - Jordan McMillan scores twice to push the Ooks past the Broncos 4-2 to sweep the weekend series on Saturday night.

Jordan McMillan opened up the scoring on a solo effort 7:44 into the first period. Abby Webster responded for the Broncos 9:48 into the second to tie the game at one. Natsumi Kurokawa then gave NAIT the lead once again when she scored on the power play 11:37 into the period. The Ooks special teams would continue to get the job done as Verca Kuzelova scored a shorthanded goal at the 17:45 mark of the period. Mairyn Tucker would then respond on the power play before the end of the period to bring the game back to 3-2. That was all the offense that Olds would generate though, as Jordan McMillan added her second of the game to give the Ooks a 4-2 victory.

The Ooks are now 8-2 and sit tied for 1st in the ACAC; they will now face host the Red Deer Queens next Friday at 7:00 pm. The Olds Broncos remain in 3rd place in the ACAC with a 3-7 record, and will now head into a bye week.
