Lions Roar Quickly Silenced by Lightning

The Ambrose Lions came out firing on cylinders and the Lightning found themselves in a deficit in the middle of the first quarter with the Lions leading 17 to 8. This didn't stop the Lightning and they fought back hard to win the quarter 20 to 19. The Lightning did not back down and had an impressive second quarter with 3^rd year veteran Andria Stitt leading the pack with 11 points, 4 assists and 4 rebounds. While Ambrose Lions number 8 Andrijana Bokan had 13 points, 3 blocks and 5 rebounds. The Lightning went into the half up by 10 points at 37 to 27. The Lions came out of the half with vengeance looking to take back the lead and the game. The Lightning and Lion exchanged bucket for bucket which kept the 3^rd quarter tied at 19 points a piece for each team. With the fourth quarter under way the Lightning and Lions fought with everything they had to improve their win record but it was the Lightning that held strong and finished the game 72 to 62. The players of the game for the Lions was number 8 Andrijana Bokan with an impressive double double at 27 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks. While number 21 Adit Deng Lightning 1^st year came out strong and earned herself player game with 15 points and 2 rebounds. The Lightning take on Ambrose Lions at their home court tomorrow night 6pm and their next home game is February 11^th against the top team in the north the Concordia Thunder.
