NOTE: Top six (6) teams in each division qualify for playoffs.  Points will determine the ranking of each team in the standings.  If there is an imbalance in the number of games played, then a win/loss ratio will determine the ranking.

Should a tie occur between two or more teams, division standings will be decided according to the following prioritized guidelines:

  1. Consideration of the game(s) played between the tied teams. 
  2. Consideration of the points scored and the points allowed in games between the tied teams (i.e. ratio For/Against). 
  3. Consideration of games played versus the highest placed team,not in the tie, followed by next highest placed team, etc.
  4. Consideration of points scored and allowed versus the highest placed team not in the tie, followed by the next highest team,etc.

Note: The tie breaking procedure for multiple ties shall be adjusted so that once the highest ranked team is removed from the tie the head to head records of the remaining teams be utilized to break all remaining ties.

The top two ranked teams in each division will receive a bye to the divisional semi-final game. The winners of the quarter-final games will advance to meet the 1st or 2nd ranked teams receiving the bye. The winner of the divisional semi-finals will be played to determine a first & second place team in each division.

 

These top teams from each division will cross-over for the Final Four Championship, S2 vs N1 and N2 vs S1. All games will be played at one institution.  The losers of the Championship semi-final games will play for bronze while the winners will compete for gold.

 

Divisional Playoffs - Mar. 3-6, 2022

  • Division Quarter-final - Game 1: #6 vs #3
  • Division Quarter-final - Game 2: #5 vs #4
  • Division Semi-final - Game 3: Winner Game 1 vs #2 (ranked division #2)
  • Division Semi-final - Game 4: Winner Game 2 vs #1 (ranked division #1)

ACAC Final Four Championship - Mar. 11-12, 2022

  • Game 5: South Division #2 vs North Division #1
  • Game 6: North Division #2 vs South Division #1
  • Bronze: Loser Game 5 vs Loser Game 6
  • Gold: Winner Game 5 vs Winner Game 6

The Championships hosting opportunity will be given to the following unless the ACAC delares a neutral site venue:

  • Women's Basketball - North Division
  • Men's Basketball - South Division
