Rattlers fall to the Trojans in overtime thriller

The SAIT Trojans travelled down highway 1 to battle the hometown Medicine Hat College (MHC) Rattlers at the Big Marble Go Centre. A slow first quarter saw the Trojans build a 13-10 lead. SAIT extended their lead outscoring MHC 17-10 in the second quarter to lead 30-20 at the half. The Rattlers started the comeback in the thrid quarter. The outscored the Trojans 19-14 and went in to the fourth trailing by just five. With their best quarter of the night, the Rattlers outscored the Trojans 24-19 to tie the game up at 63 and force overtime. The final five minutes saw the Trojans take a quick ten point lead but the Rattlers wouldn't go away. Both teams battled until the final horn with the Trojans coming out on top 78-73. The player of the game for the Trojans was #11 Anegor Wol who had 32 points and 11 rebounds. The player of the game for the Rattlers was #22 Kate Rozdeba who had 26 points and 14 rebounds. The two teams meet again tomorrow in Calgary.
