In the basketball home opener, the Kings women's basketball team hosted the Keyano College huskies.
Up at half with a score of 23-35, the kings took a tight lead over the huskies. The Eagles held onto their lead as they secured a 70-69 win over the Huskies in a very contested ball game.
Keyano continued to fight hard in the second half, but the Eagles were able to hold on.
Kayla Soetaert led the way for the Eagles with 22 points, while crucial free throws by Aneilia Ayotte helped secure the win for the Eagles. 05 Madison Zadro hit a crowd rarwing buzzer besting 3-point shot taking the huskies to 69 points.
