Rustlers Outlast Kodiaks in Game One of the 2020 South Country CO-OP ACAC Women's Basketball Championships

It was an exciting back and forth came between the (N2) Lakeland Rustlers and the (S3) Lethbridge Kodiaks to open the 2020 South Country CO-OP ACAC Women's Basketball Championships.  The Kodiaks came out of the gate flying quickly building a big lead.  The Rustlers kept fighting but at the end of the quarter they found themselves down 24-18.  The second quarter was a lower scoring affair.  The Rustlers closed the gap but still found themselves down 35-30 at the half.  Lakeland kept pushing and a strong third quarter saw the lead cut to a single point.  It was 51-50 heading in to the fourth quarter.  The Rustlers started hitting shots and slowly they caught and passed the Kodiaks.  A 22-13 fourth quarter by the Rustlers earned them a 72-64 victory and a place in tomorrow's first semi-final at 6pm.  The Kodiaks will return to the floor tomorrow at 1pm.  The Elite Promotional Marketing ACAC Players of the Game were #4 Matlin McMurray of the Kodiaks and #25 Brianne Hergott from the Rustlers.
