On the last day for the regular season, the Lakeland College Women's Basketball team hosted the Concordia Thunder. Due to the last day, it is, of course, senior night for Lakeland's only senior Brianne Hergott.
It was fairly close in the first quarter with lots of aggression. But the Rustlers would string together some points and take a 16-12 lead going into the 2nd quarter.
The Thunder would keep it close with help from #7 Kaelyn Bryks. She would keep the Thunder within 3 points heading into the half but the Rustlers would take the first half with a 39-36 lead.
The Rustlers would come out of the gates hot in the second half of the play. They would build significantly on there lead with help from #10 Jaden Cook. With the extra boost from Cook, the Rustlers would go ahead and open there lead up and go into the final quarter of regular season leading 64-53.
The final quarter of play was bittersweet for Brianne Hergott who would score her last ACAC regular season basket. The Rustlers would go ahead and take the final regular-season game with a dominant win 84-64. The Rustlers would look to carry their momentum forward into playoffs.
