Ooks win final regular season game on Saturday night

EDMONTON, Alta. – With the ACAC championships looming large, the NAIT Ooks went to work on Saturday night with the mindset of continuing to push towards their ultimate goal, finishing off the regular season with a 73-47 win over the King's Eagles and locking themselves into the #3 seed from the North Division for the championships.

Bolstered by a strong third quarter that saw the Ooks limit the Eagles to only six points, NAIT used their patented high-pressure defense to take control of the game stretching their four-point half-time lead to twelve by the end of the quarter.

By the time the fourth quarter had ended, the Ooks defense had limited the Eagles attack and accumulated twenty-six points off of Eagles turnovers which was a massive difference in the game.

It was the last regular season game for NAIT Ooks fifth-year player Sydney Hurlburt as she finishes her last home game with a victory.

The Ooks finish the 2019-2020 season with a 10-2 home record. NAIT also took the season series 3-1 over the Eagles.
