The Augustana Vikings face off against the Lakeland Rustlers. 

 

In the first quarter, the Vikings struggled to get the ball into the basket. Rattlers successfully got the first couple of points. After some tough words from head coach Dedrick, the Vikings managed to take back the lead. The Rattlers were not far behind. With back to back timeouts, and shots on the basket the first quarter finished with a score of 18-13. 

 

Head Coach King spoke to the rattlers and they came into the second quarter determined and step their game up to the next level. Vikings step up as well, coming out harder allowing them to maintain their lead. The Vikings managed to hold the lead of 10 points for the majority of the second quarter. The half-time score was 33-21 for the Vikings. 

 

The third quarter was eventful, to say the least. Fans were on the edge of their seats as the ball went back and forth and great plays were made. The score at the end of the quarter was 46-24 for the Vikings. 

 

Despite the gap, the Rattlers came into the fourth determined. Their hard work paid off as they were able to increase their score. Vikings didn't let it stop them, and came in strong and determined. They were able to almost double their score. Both teams played well, but Rattlers just couldn't hit their shots tonight. The Vikings went home with the win with a final score of 62-41.
