Lightning and Clippers in Close Matchup

The St. Mary's Unviersity Lightning and Briercrest Clippers had a hard fought game until the final buzzer, with the Clippers coming away with the 84-77 win over the Lightning on Saturday afternoon. The Lightning were up 29-20 after the first quarter, but with a huge 37 point quarter by the Clippers, they took a 57-41 lead into the locker room at halftime. The Lightning won the second half, but the defecit was too much in the end. ACAC Player of the Game was Angenay Williams who poured in 29 points, and contributed with 7 rebounds, and 6 assists. The Clippers were also led by Amber Tilcox and Sydney Segroves with 16 and 15 points, and as a team shot 38.9% from the field. Player of the Game for the Lightning was Danya Osterling with her 16 points, with help from Juhee Anderson and her 18 points, and Chayle Clark's double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds. The Lightning shot 35.1% for the game.
