Rustlers Perform At Home

The Lakeland welcomed NAIT Ooks on Friday, October 25th. The Rustlers were hooping to show the Ooks their true potential at home during there home opener. With both teams losing key players each team was going to have to adapt to there style of play and make sure each team wouldn't shy away from there game plan. with the Ooks coming out with a hot start the Rustlers were able to weather the storm and take the lead back and come out with a 20-17 lead heading into the 2nd quarter. the Rustlers were able to tack on a lead with help from Brianne Hergot giving them the offensive push to get through the second quarter. Ooks however, would keep the Rustlers honest fighting back and giving the Rustlers offense a hard time. The Rustlers would end up closing the game out with a final score of 83-62. This win for the Rustlers would give them the first win of the season giving them a 1-1 record.
