Both teams playing aggressive defense, going full-court press several times in a low-scoring first period the Augustana Vikings attacking the hoop to take a 14-9 lead. Off the bench 5-foot-5, Megan Hebert drops in two buckets for the Vikings and shows her vertical jump with a few boards and high flying layups. Huskies outrebounded 10-7.

Vikings continue with a zone defense, holding the Huskies off the offensive boards as they go into the locker room at the half up  29-22. Both teams were cold from beyond the three-point line Huskies 1-of-9 and Vikings 2-of-9.

A Tyshaine Page (5th year, Business Admin, Kitchener, Ontario) three-pointer and an off-balance layup that drops and draws the foul, bring the Huskies within two points 37-35 halfway through the third period.

Tied 47-47 at the conclusion of three periods.

Missed free throws at the end of regulation cost the hometown side as a HORSE type three-point shot at the buzzer by Vikings' Alyssa Banez sends the game into OT.

Huskies Player of the Game is Paige with 10 points. Teammate Moiyan Toure (4th year, Early Childhood Education, Edmonton Alberta) has a team-high 24 points and 14 boards.

Vikings POG is Tegan MacKinnon with 15 points.
