CALGARY, ALTA., (MARCH 1, 2018) — The St. Mary's University Lightning upset the Keyano College Huskies 65-60 in quarter-final action Thursday afternoon at the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Women's Basketball Championship at SAIT.

Emily Wagner scored 22 points to lead the ACAC's South Division No. 4 seed to victory over the North Division's No. 1 seed. Augusta Kievisaite responded with 13 points and 11 rebounds in a losing effort for the Huskies

Wagner was named the Lightning's Earl's Kitchen and Bar Player of the Game. Moiyan Toure was named the Huskies' Player of the Game after scoring 10 points and adding 13 rebounds

The win sends St. Mary's on to one of the event's semifinal game tomorrow night at 6pm against the Lakeland College Rustlers.

The Huskies will move to the consolation side of the draw, and will meet the Olds College Broncos at 1pm tomorrow afternoon.
