Rattlers Win at Home
A Snowy Friday in Medicine Hat saw the Rattlers Face off against Olds College Broncos. The first quarter started a bit slow with both teams trying to find their rhythm early. Olds scored the first basket and medicine hat answered. This went on for a few minutes while play moved quickly up and back. The Rattlers took an early lead out of the first quarter 17-13
The second quarter saw the intensity of the game pick up. Both teams were battling harder for rebounds and loose balls. The rattlers increased their lead with some very solid play from Kennedy Werre. The Broncos battled back late in the quarter helped by Brittney Thibeaux getting points in the paint and getting to the line. The Rattlers went into the break, up 35-30.
The third quarter saw better play from both sides, the broncos short bench started to show with their players starting to show fatigue. Medicine Hat rolled subs constantly keeping fresh legs on the floor. This payed off in a big way with Medicine Hat controlling the glass and the scoreboard coming out of the frame up 52-41.
The fourth saw much of the same play that happened all game. The rattlers 5th year Kennedy Werre, had a very impressive game putting up 28 points with 21 rebounds. Leading the Rattlers to a Win. The final was 75-54 continuing the Rattlers impressive run.
