Edgar, MacEachern Named ACAC 2017-18 Indoor Track Coaches of the Year
EDMONTON, AB (March 23, 2018) – The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is proud to announce the duo of Ryan Edgar and Bre MacEachern of the SAIT Trojans have been named the ACAC Indoor Track Coaches of the Year.
It is the second straight year that the co-head coaches from SAIT have earned the award, improving on what was a stellar 2017 indoor track season this time around with a display of pure dominance at the ACAC Championships hosted by MacEwan University in Edmonton, Alta. On March 9 and 10, the team led by Edgar and MacEachern collected 15 medals (nine gold, four silver, two bronze), as well as the men's team title and the women's team silver medal.
"The job done by Ryan and Bre this season with our indoor track team was, truly, something special," says Wade Kolmel, SAIT Trojans Athletics and Recreation Director. "They have worked extremely hard to create a team filled with not only speed to win individual races, but the depth needed to create team success as well. We are very proud of what they have accomplished."
