January 27, 2023- The Kodiaks were looking to secure crucial 2 points in the race for the throne of the south division as they faced off against the struggling Ambrose Lions who are riding a 4-game losing streak

Gavin Moes and the Kodiaks wasted no time and got right to it. Gavin Moes was a force to be reckoned with creating havoc all over as he picked up 8 kills and 2 aces as well as his brother #14 Nolan Moes who had 2 aces in the 1st which was a key factor in the Kodiaks success as the Lions were not able to build any momentum leaving them in the dust leading to a strong finish from the Kodiaks taking the 1st set 25-13.

The Moes brothers continued to dominate throughout the 2nd set as they combined for 7 kills which helped keep the energy high for the Kodiaks as they were able to cruise right through the struggling Lions taking the set by storm with a 25-18 set victory to put the pressure on Ambrose with a chance to close out the match in the 3rd set.

The Kodiaks continued to outplay the Lions as they struggled to find a rhythm that allowed them to push forward. The Kodiaks stuck to wait worked and it brought them the success they needed in order to secure the 3-set sweep over Ambrose taking the final set 25-18.
