After shaking off a bad start, the Rustlers weren't able to complete the upset on Friday night against the NAIT Ooks.

Dropping several early points to the visitors, Lakeland crawled back in the set, but lost 22-25. Trailing in the second, the home team was able flip the lead and win 27-25, off some clutch serving. After dominated the third 25-17, the Rustlers held match point, but the Ooks came back to win 25-27. In the fifth, the home team couldn't match their oppoents level, losing 9-15.

Gabe Bjorkas won POG for the Rustlers, thanks to some great serving off the bench. Carter Hills lead all attackers with 17 kills as the visiting team POG.

The rematch is set for Saturday night in Edmonton.
