Wolves welcomed the Rustlers for their Home Opener

Season Home Opener for the NWP Wolves. They welcomed the Lakeland Rustlers to town for a pair of games.

1st set was a battle back and forth for the first 6 points. Lakeland pulled away to 10 points, until #9 Tom Wheeler had a huge block to bring the Wolves within 2. Some outstanding rallies by both teams, points going to the Rustlers to give them a 5 point lead. Coach Sam Tu'ivai calls a time out for NWP. Out of the time out the Wolves rally for a couple points, 12-14. The Wolves would tie the game at 17-17. Wolves take the lead at 20-19, Lakeland to sub. Wolves grab a couple more points which forces a Lakeland time out. 22-20 Wolves. The set would end 25-22 for the Wolves. Wolves take a 1-0 lead.

Lakeland pulls ahead quickly in the 2nd set. Head coach Sam Tu'ivai calls a timeout at 7-3 in favor of the Rustlers. The Lakeland Rustlers keep the 5 point spread for the set. Rustlers win 25-20. Game tied at 1-1.

3rd set was all Lakeland to start. They jumped out to a 4-0 lead. Wolves could not recover as Lakeland takes the 3rd set 25-10. Rustlers lead 2-1.

The Wolves rallied from 8 points back to tie the game at 22. Head Coach Taylor Dryer calls a time out at 22. #5 Cameron MacGillivray serves the Wolves to 23. The Rustlers held on to win the set 25-23 and the match 3-1.
