Wolves welcomed the Rustlers for their Home Opener

Season Home Opener for the NWP Wolves. They welcomed the Lakeland Rustlers to town for a pair of games.

The Wolves opened the scoring with a big block in the middle. Rustlers respond with a big kill and go up 1 on the Wolves. Rustlers would pull away by 3 until #3 Justice Bigstone goes on a serving streak and #9 Tom Wheeler comes up with 2 big blocks and the Wolves are up by 2. Both team's battle hard at the net and score is locked at 10. Rustlers pull ahead with a 4 point lead, before the Wolves break the streak for a 15-12 score. Rustlers continued to lead the scoreboard as a time out is called by the Wolves, when play returns #17 Morrison opens the play with a service ace. The game stays tight, and NWP catches the lead to tie up the score at 19-19. NWP Wolves pull away with a 3 point lead, only to be caught by the Rustlers. Another time out is called by the Wolves as the score reaches 24-23 Wolves. Rustlers return with 26-24 win in the first set. Rustlers lead 1-0.

2^nd set action is all Lakeland early. #11 Joshua Watson makes a few great kills and brings the Wolves within 2. #16 Declan Mercer for the Rustlers responds with a few great kills to take a 5 point lead. 14-9 Rustlers. Justice and Chad come up big for the Wolves with a big block and the Wolves come within 3. Wolves fight back to tie up the score at 14-14. Huge kill for #8 Cameron Jones of the Rustlers pulls the team ahead by 2. Wolves call a time out as the score reaches 23-20 Rustlers. Rustlers take the second set by a score of 25-21. Rustlers lead 2-0

3^rd set was all Rustlers as they came out on top 25-17. Rustlers would take the match 3-0.
