NAIT Ooks Take Flight into Gold Medal Game

The north division first place NAIT Ooks took on the south division second place Briercrest Clippers in game two of the Men's Volleyball ACAC Final Four Championship. It was electric in the building tonight as both teams left it all the court for their chance to play for ACAC gold tomorrow. Ultimately it was the Ooks who came out winning 3-0.

It was a close first set as both teams were in it to win it. The Ooks pulled ahead by four halfway through the set, which was their turning point. An insane rally between the two teams gave them both life, and the Clippers were able to close the gap a bit. The Ooks weren't taking it, though, as they hit it home a few more times to take the set 25-17.

The closeness of the first set continued into the second set. The Clippers weren't ready to call it a night, and their energy was apparent. They hit it home when it was needed to keep the set close. It was tied until late in the set when the Ooks pulled ahead by four to win 25-21.

The Clippers weren't backing down in the third as they hit it home first and pulled ahead to make their mark on the game. The NAIT Ooks big hitters were ready for the challenge, though, as they kept the game close. The Ooks finally pulled ahead to win 25-23.

The players of the game were #10, Karter Godin from the Ooks, and #13, Davis Borden from the Clippers.
