Ooks Win in Three

Saturday evening, the NAIT Ooks men's volleyball competed against the Concordia Thunder at home. The Ooks were able to win the match 3-0.

At the start of the match, the Ooks were able to gain a significant lead of 10 points against the Thunder. The Thunder worked their way back to make the set closer, losing 25-16.

The second set of the game started strong for the Ooks as Carter Hills served two service aces in a row. Carter Hills is a leader in service aces per set in the ACAC men's volleyball league. The Thunder answer these aces with one of their own. Both teams played well as points were exchanged back and forth between both teams. The Ooks were able to take the second set 25-21, extending their lead to 2-0.

The third and final set of the match was a close one between the Ooks and the Thunder. For the majority of the set, the Thunder were in the lead. The Ooks were able to close the gap and catch the Thunder. The score became tied at 19. The Ooks were able to go back and forth with the Thunder and win the set 26-24.

The players of the game were #6 Daniel Ward from the Ooks and #10 Brenan Kuffert from the Thunder.
