Eagles take big win vs. Rustlers

TKU Eagles, who were able to clinch their spot into provincials last weekend with a sweep over their last opponents, will be looking to continue their win streak as they take on the Lakeland College Rustlers in tonight's match. The Rustlers, who also were able to clinch their spot in provincials, are looking to end their regular season off strong.

In the first set, the Eagles looked to continued their momentum that they have built from their previous match as they came out to an early lead. The Rustlers, continued to battle but it was not enough to come back as the Eagles took the first set, 25-21.

In the second set, the Eagles turned it on once again as they started quick in the set. The Rustlers were able to make it interesting but like in the previous set, it was not enough as the Eagles took the set 25-20.

In the third set, the Rustlers did not want to roll over for the Eagles as they battled for every point. The Eagles though seemed to be a whole other level, as they fought tooth and nail to the bitter end and on the backs of their senior players ,#13 Tyssen Voogd and #7 Matthew Pulyk, were able to finish the set off 25-18, and take the match in straight sets.

The Eagles will be looking to take the double over their opponents as they take on the Lakeland College Rustlers once more Feb. 15, at Lakeland College, at 8pm.
