Vikings take on the Thunder

On this fine Saturday evening the Vikings took on Concordia Thunder for the second time of the weekend.

The first set was a close one, each team putting in all out onto the court. Staying close in score the entire game, until Concordia brought the Thunder and took the first set with a score of 25-20. 

The second set was similar to the first. The Thunder and the Vikings were very close for the beginning of the game, but this ended about half way through the set. Thunder pulled ahead and won the set. This set also ended with a score of 25-20.

The Vikings' fans started to cheer a little louder and a little harder in the Third set. This caused the Vikings to kick things up a notch. They started to pull ahead about half way through the set, until they took the set with a score of 25-20.

The Vikings carried this energy into, and all throughout the fourth set. Concordia was not backing down though. The entire set was point for point until the very end, when the Vikings took the set with a score of 25-22.

The fifth and final set of them game saw the teams go hard for the entire set, taking every point they could get. 

the Vikings took the last few points of the set; making it 16-14. 

Final set score was 3-2 for Thunder.

Player of the game for the visiting Concordia Thunder was #7, Chad Sieban. For the hometown Augustana Vikings was #9, Greg Kaliel.
