MVB | Clippers sweep the weekend

Caronport, SK- The Briercrest Clippers faced the Olds College Broncos in a rematch on Saturday, February 1. The result was another Briercrest win in four sets in a crucial match for the Clippers.

Starting the match off, the Broncos were looking for revenge from yesterday's game, and halfway into the set the Broncos were winning 15-12 against Briercrest. The Clippers continued to trail the Broncos all the way till the end, where the score was 24-20. The Broncos finished up the Clippers 25-22.

In the second set, Briercrest was looking to catch up to Olds. Midway into the set, the score was 15-13 for the Clippers, and Briercrest continued to push on their gained momentum going on a 10-3 streak and finishing the set 25-16.

Starting the third set, the Clippers brought some heat, pulling ahead early with a 13-8 lead. Briercrest continued this lead, taking the Broncos 20-13 late in the set. The Broncos attempted to take the set back but unfortunately failed, and the Clippers took the set 25-14.

In what would be the last set, Briercrest was relentless and took the lead in the set 15-6. The Clippers gave no breathing room to the Broncos and finished up the set 25-12, making way for a Clippers victory. The final scores of the match were 22-25, 25-16, 25-14 and 25-12.

Players of the game were #10 River Thomas for the Broncos with 1 ace, 2 digs and 4 kills. And for the Clippers, fifth-year Jadon Ward with 1 block, 1 ace and 3 digs.
