Lions fall in 3 to visiting Kings

Ambrose's  first home game of the semester saw a couple of new additions to the roster and starting lineup in their match up against the RDC Kings.  Lions Setter Jared VanderZwaag and Middle Brodie Juul-Hansen both started the game for the Lions and worked to find a rhythm with their teammates on the court. RDC also played with a varied lineup as outside hitter Shae McIntyre saw the court in all three sets. The first set started close but RDC gained control of the momentum early and held onto it for the rest of the game. While the Lions continued to stay close with a number of big plays, the Kings played a clean game and capitalized on any opportunities they were given.  After a first semester riddled with injuries, Lions player Stephen Jones led his team in kills with 6. Leading the Kings in kills was Carter Hills with 11. The Kings won the game 3-0. Carter McLenahan of the Ambrose Lions was presented the player of the game award thanks to his 8 digs and 1 kill. Carter Hills of RDC Kings was presented player of the game thanks to his strong offensive play.
